Reservation of tickets for the Busan International Film Festival will be difficult

This year's Busan International Film Festival (BIFF) heralds a fierce booking war that is not seen in previous years.

According to the second phase of the COVID-19 social distance rule, only about 50 people can enter the theater at most.

The secretariat of the Busan International Film Festival on Thursday said, the 25th competition, scheduled to open on May 21, will be screened on five screens at the Film Festival.

Online screenings at some film festivals, including the Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival, will not be considered for copyright protection.

Since the number of theaters will be reduced from around 37 to five, and the number of screenings will be limited from two to three times per movie to one time, reservations will be very difficult.

The reservation schedule would be confirmed after the Chuseok holiday(Korean thanks giving day) by looking at the COVID-19 situation.
