IU Donates 100 Million Won for Children from Low-income Families for Christmas
Singer and actor IU, who has consistently donated money, made a large donation again for Christmas.
The Green Umbrella Children's Foundation said on the 24th that IU donated 0.1 million dollars to the foundation.
The donation will be used for the livelihood of students from low-income families and for school expenses for their teenagers who are about to enter college.
An official from the foundation said, "She readily donated during difficult times due to the new type of coronavirus infection (Korona 19). The children will be very happy to have the good news."
IU has been delivering donations to the foundation since 2015. The total amount of money she has donated so far amounts to 970 million won.(about 0.8 million dollars)
She previously donated 100 million won(about 0.1 million dollars) to Good Neighbors, the Korean Nursing Association, and the Korean Medical Association to overcome Corona 19, and delivered the same amount of money to the National Disaster Relief Association last summer to help flood victims.
