Lee Si-young said, "A strong image used to be a burden, but now I appreciate it."

  Actress Lee Si-young (38) has retired from her professional boxing career as an actress.   Afterwards, she showed her strong image in various dramas and entertainment shows by taking advantage of her athleticism. 

Seo Yi-kyung, a former special forces firefighter she played in the drama "Sweet Home," which was recently released on Netflix, was also a perfect role for her.

Lee Si-young said in a video interview on the 23rd, "I enjoyed the original film, but Lee Kyung-eun talked a lot with the production team because she was a character that never existed before." "I was shy to tell you, but there was no stand-up and computer graphics." "Thank you for your kind consideration," she said.

She cited driving a fire truck as the most memorable action.

"I've seen a lot of action scenes, and it was fun driving a fire truck while I was thinking I wanted to take a deeper action. It was the hardest part. I had to rush the fire truck to the extreme, but I practiced a lot because it could lead to a big accident. There were a lot of naked action and gun action. I was used to bare-body action with my body, but it was a bit awkward because I've never seen a gun before."

Lee Kyung-eun lost her fiance while pregnant. She is a stronger character than Hyun-soo (played by Song Kang) who has become a monster and Sang-wook (played by Lee Jin-wook), a former murder contractor, who is struggling to protect her child even in dystopia.

"Lee Kyung-eun seemed to have lost her fiance and lost the world, but when she found out she had a child, she became a character who became a turning point and became attractive. Mothers have a stronger maternal love to protect their children than the desire to live. So Lee Kyung-eun didn't think that she would become a monster with desire. When I was acting, I excluded the idea of a warrior and focused on building superhuman strength to protect my precious child."

"I personally think there's no one stronger than a mother with a child. So I think Lee Kyung is stronger than Sang-wook, she said with a smile. "I was able to focus more on acting in motherhood because I was actually a mother with a child."

Lee Si-young also expressed hope that if season 2 is produced, more stories such as why Lee Kyung became a soldier at the end of season 1, her husband's life and death, and what happens to her child will be developed.

Regarding the fact that Lee Si-young is drawing attention for her physical strength and other images, Lee said, "I am grateful for the interest itself." 

"I used to feel a lot of pressure on my strong image, but now I'm so grateful. I also changed my direction to try to make more works with this image."
